currently 15 years old and a sophomore at Pulaski County High School. I have
been selected and honored with the following scholastic and athletic awards:
Who’s Who Among American High School Students, High Honor Roll, USAA National
Mathematics Award, 2004 and 2005 National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology
(Silicon Valley), 2005 National Student Leadership Conference on International
Diplomacy (Washington, D.C.), 2005 National Youth Leadership Forum on Defense,
Intelligence and Diplomacy (Washington, D.C.), Presidential Physical Fitness
Award (seven straight years), 2003 State Games of America National Championships
(3000 meters: Gold Medal, 1500 meters: Bronze Medal). My school activities
include French Club, Computer Aided Design (CAD) Club, Cross Country and member
of the Youth Action Board of the Pulaski Community Partners Coalition. My
special interests are running 5 and 10 k races, golf, chess and classical
music.
As an American
born in a foreign country, I have always been and am increasingly interested in
international politics. In this day and age, there is a need for individuals to
become knowledgeable of cultures other than ours and to be involved in improving
and/or mending relations. Pursuing degrees at the undergraduate and graduate
levels in the fields of political science, international relations, economics,
law and foreign languages (French and Russian), my goal will be to enter the
Diplomatic Corps and hopefully contribute to the understanding and betterment of
international relations, more specifically between USA, France and Russia.
