Blevins, secretary of the Pulaski Community Partners Coalition Youth Action
Board (PCPC YAB), invited students and staff of Pulaski County Schools to
partner with the PCPC YAB to raise money for the 2006 Relay for Life.
The students at Riverlawn Elementary and their principal, John Bowler,
eagerly accepted her invitation. The staff and students of Riverlawn
enthusiastically raised $497.50, twenty-five cents at a time. Students
purchased paper chain links and formed a very long paper chain (1990 links)
to represent
Riverlawn Elementary’s contribution to the American Cancer Society’s largest
local fundraiser.
